History

In 1961 Jesús Martínez and his wife Justa González founded the Lácteos Martínez cheesemaking creamery, supported by their experience and association with the cheesemaking world which went back to the tradition of making cheese for their own home consumption.

The progression from when the first artisan cheesemaking facilities were set up to the present-day plant located on the industrial estate of Fuente Ciega in Haro, La Rioja, has served to guide us and to lead us towards achieving our goal of excellence and the satisfaction of a job well done.

The cheesemaking creamery is the result of many years of hard work in an endeavour to seek customer satisfaction and that of each and every person involved in the project. Over time, this effort to adhere to the traditional artisan process of the founders has been rewarded with the ongoing loyalty of our customers.
